Solbakken, Inc. is licensed through the State of Minnesota for Assisted Living Facilities and we carry a housing with services license. Care is lovingly provided in a home setting, providing 24 hour care and supervision for clients who have varying degrees of nursing needs. The private pay client as well as the government funded client are equally welcome.
Solbakken allows the elderly a wonderful alternative to nursing home placement. It is a home-like atmosphere and allows for a lot of personal attention with excellent individualized care being supervised by the owners who are Registered Nurses and who live on site at two of their three facilities. The owners are a mother and daughter who together have over 60 years of experience in caring for the elderly. Solbakken, Inc. has three assisted living homes, two in West Bloomington and one in Isanti.
Nursing care is given to each client from the simple activities of daily living tasks to the highly skilled and complex nursing procedures. Services are also provided for medication dispensing, supervision and monitoring for side effects, housekeeping and laundry, activities of interest and nutritious meals and snacks.
We provide quality care based on a thorough, professional assessment of the individual client, taking into consideration their personal habits, likes, dislikes and history. We combine the gathered data and set up individualized care plans with excellence, innovation, compassion and caring and all provided in a friendly and loving manner.
